„Sacrosanct or Sacrilegium“

Born in 1946
Art historian, specialised in the Applied Arts. Has been teaching at the Amsterdam Fashion Academy, the Academy of Arts Rotterdam and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. From 1995 till 2006 she was head of the Applied Arts Department at the Sandberg Institute, the post-graduate course affiliated to the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
She coördinated many symposia, and has lectured all over the world.
She published on all fields of the applied arts,  has been editor of two design magazines and in 2004 she published a book on Dutch jewellery in the 20th century. In 2010 she got her doctorate with a thesis on a theoretical approach to jewellery at the University of Leiden.
